Nuveen Mortgage and Income Fund is a fixed income mutual fund managed by Nuveen Fund Advisors LLC, Nuveen Asset Management, LLC, and Wellington Management Company LLP. It invests in undervalued non-agency residential mortgage-backed securities and commercial mortgage-backed securities to optimize its total return potential. Using fundamental analysis, it chooses its securities portfolio based on several factors including credit performance, priority of payment, credit enhancement, default patterns, relative financial strength of mortgage servicer and has Barclays Capital U.S. Aggregate Bond Index as its performance benchmark.
