Ecopetrol S.A. is an integrated energy company with four main segments, namely exploration and production, transport and logistics, refining, petrochemical and biofuels, as well as electric power transmission and toll road concessions. The company engages in various activities such as oil and gas exploration, crude oil transportation, refining, distribution of natural gas, and sale of refined products, among others. It operates in different regions worldwide and was incorporated in Colombia back in 1948 as Empresa Colombiana de Petróleos.
