BP Prudhoe Bay Royalty Trust is a grantor trust that owns overriding royalty interest in the Prudhoe Bay oil field. The oil field is located in Alaska and covers a large area consisting of 150,000 productive acres. Since its inception in 1989, the trust has been headquartered in Houston, Texas.
