BlackRock Energy and Resources Trust is a mutual fund launched by BlackRock that invests in stocks of companies operating in the energy and natural resources sectors across the globe, with an emphasis on the US. It invests in stocks across all market capitalizations and uses equity derivatives, mainly option writing, to invest. The fund was formed in 2004 and was previously known as BlackRock Global Energy and Resources Trust.
